Ragan Freitag, lifelong resident of District 6 in Will County, was born and raised in Wilmington, Illinois. This growing community currently sits on the edge of a proposed new highway, directly linking Will County to Indiana, and has the possibilities of bringing great opportunity to the people of District 6. It’s opportunities like these that demand an optimistic attitude, yet a watchful eye because they can affect the people of Will County in many ways.

Ragan Freitag, a lifelong resident of Will County, has built her traditional values and work ethic living and working side by side with the residents of her district. Without their grassroots attitude and support, she wouldn’t be here today.

She attended St. Rose Grade School and continues on as a parishioner at St. Rose Church today. Ragan is also a graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy and currently serves as the Vice-President of the Joliet Catholic Academy Alumni Association. She went on to be one of few women that graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina where she received both military training and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and American Government.

After college, Ragan returned home and served as an Alderman for the City of Wilmington, as well as the Chairman of Grounds and Buildings Committee.

During this time she also worked with former Congressman Jerry Weller of the 11th Congressional District of Illinois as a congressional intern handling constituent concerns and legislative matters within the district.

She also worked for former Illinois State Representative Brent Hassert of the 85th District as a legislative liaison.

In 2005, Ragan attended Mississippi College School of Law located in Jackson, Mississippi. During her time in law school, she served as the Chairman of the Habitat for Humanity Chapter where members raised money and built new homes for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Ragan graduated in 2008 and that year was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois. Today, Ragan practices law in Will County.

She continues to serve as a proud member of the Will County Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is also the Secretary of the Will County Women’s Bar Association and a 2011 graduate of the Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service Series.

    Join Americas Tea Party in the first annual Sam Adams Tea Party Dinner with emcee, Dan Proft of WLS Radio Host and former candidate for Governor. Invited Speakers also include Congressmen Joe Walsh, Congressmen Randy Hultgren and Congresswoman Judy Biggert. We will be honoring 4 recipients with the “Tea Cup” award for their involvement in promoting and pursuing responsible government.
